About RehabProtocols.com
A free, curated library of rehabilitation protocols โ built by a physical therapist, for physical therapists.
What this site is
RehabProtocols.com is a searchable library of post-operative and non-operative rehabilitation protocols sourced from academic medical centers, orthopedic hospitals, and surgeons across the country. Every protocol links directly to its original source โ no paywalls, no reformatting, no sign-ups. The library also includes evidence-based clinical practice guidelines from major professional bodies including APTA, AAOS, and JOSPT.
Who built it
This site was built and is maintained by a licensed physical therapist. As a clinician, finding the right post-op protocol for a patient meant hunting across dozens of hospital websites, surgeon pages, and PDF repositories โ often turning up outdated or broken links. RehabProtocols.com exists to solve that problem: one place, all sources, always linking to the original.
How it's maintained
Protocols are cataloged manually, with each entry verified to link to a live, publicly accessible source. The library is updated regularly as new protocols are published or submitted by users. If a link is broken or a protocol has been updated, use the contact page to flag it.
Who it's for
This site is intended for licensed physical therapists and PT students. It is a clinical reference tool, not a patient-facing resource. All protocols link to third-party sources โ always verify current accuracy with the operative report and your surgeon's specific instructions before applying any protocol to patient care.
If you are the author or rights holder of a protocol featured on this site and have concerns about its inclusion, please visit the contact page.
