Avoid ER and horizontal abduction; avoid shoulder ER at or above 90° abduction; avoid shoulder extension past neutral; avoid traction force of GH joint; no aggressive ER stretching; no early motion x 0-2 wks; control stresses x 2-4 wks; general healing 6+ weeks
Timeline & Phases
3 phases: Phase I Acute (0-3 wks per immobilization, protect anterior capsule, submaximal isometrics, PROM in scapular plane), Phase II Intermediate (3-5 wks, progress to full PROM/AROM, RC and scapular strengthening), Phase III Advanced Strengthening (6+ wks, sport-specific training, plyometrics, throwing). RTS ~10+ wks; criteria: 90% ER/IR strength LSI, pass CKCUE test, absent apprehension
