- NWB x 6 weeks; WBAT Phase II (6-12 wks) when swelling stable and gait WNL
- Key Restrictions
- NWB x 6 weeks; stationary bike and pool NWB activities allowed from 2-3 weeks; WBAT only after stable swelling and normal gait
- Timeline & Phases
- Phase I (day 1-week 6): NWB, AROM, stationary bike from 2-3 wks (heel on pedal), pool NWB; Phase II (6-12 wks): WBAT, Theraband strengthening, elliptical, double/single leg BAPS; Phase III (3-4 months): walk 2 miles; Phase III (4-6 months): return to all activities, running progression

- Ankle microfracture requires NWB x 6 weeks; cartilage healing drives prolonged NWB restriction
