Rest from pain-provoking activities; soreness rules for progression; avoid hills and uneven surfaces initially; return to running per interval program

4 phases: Acute (7-14 days to 4 wks), Subacute (2-6 wks, initiate return to activity), Advanced Strengthening and Return to Running (2-8 wks), Return to Full Activity and Sport-Specific Training. Total 4-12 weeks
