Shoulder immobilizer x 6 weeks; no PROM initially; no elbow flexion >90° with bench/dips; no flies or pull downs for extended period
Timeline & Phases
Phase I (1-2 wks): immobilizer, hand/wrist/elbow AROM only; Phase II (2-4 wks): supported pendulums, resisted elbow/wrist with shoulder neutral; Phase III (4-6 wks): AAROM flex to 90°; Phase IV (6-8 wks): D/C immobilizer, AROM flex to 120°/abd to 90°, no PROM; Phase V (8-12 wks): full AROM, 30 wall push-ups; Phase VI (3-4 months): run 2 miles; Phase VII (4-6 months): return to all activities, normal pec major strength

No PROM throughout early phases; elbow flexion restricted to ≤90° for extended period; no flies or overhead press for months
