- PROM limited to 15-120 deg in Phase II; no swimming, throwing, or overhead serves until 6 weeks
- Timeline & Phases
- Phase I (surgery-2 wks): sling, compressive dressing, splint at 90 deg with wrist free, grip strengthening, gentle wrist/hand ROM, walking/Stairmaster with sling on; Phase II (2-3 wks): sling for comfort, shoulder strengthening/ROM, PROM limited to 15-120 deg, elbow/wrist isometrics, ball squeezes; Phase III (3-6 wks): initiate strength/flexibility in all planes for elbow and shoulder, wrist and elbow strengthening in all motions, eccentric exercise and plyometric drills, interval throwing program if applicable, return to light throwing/swimming at 6 wks, throw from pitcher's mound at 12 wks
