Sling 0-4/5 wks; no AROM 0-3 wks; limit ER (respect anterior capsule — use intraoperative ROM as guide); no pushups/pec flys; avoid tricep dips/wide bench press/military press behind head long-term; no throwing or overhead sport until 4 months post-op
Timeline & Phases
Phase I: 0-3 wks (PROM only); Phase II: 4-9 wks (PROM to wk 6, AAROM/AROM at wk 6); Phase III: 10-15 wks (strengthening); Phase IV: 16-20 wks (return to sport, throwing at 4 months)
