50% WB with crutches for 6 weeks; progress to FWB after 6 weeks
Key Restrictions
Brace 0-90° for 6 weeks (unlocked at all times after nerve block resolves, removable for hygiene and therapy); no forced flexion; 50% WB for 6 weeks
Timeline & Phases
Phase 1 (0-6 wks): brace 0-90°, 50% WB, quad recruitment, SLR, 4-way hip, stationary bike, aquatic therapy; Phase 2 (6-10 wks): progress to FWB, full AROM, CKC strengthening, lunges, leg press, step-downs, balance; Phase 3 (10+ wks): plyometrics, running progression, cutting and agility exercises
Notes
Distinct from knee arthroscopy: 50% WB and brace 0-90° for 6 weeks with no forced flexion; brace unlocked at all times after nerve block; aquatic therapy may begin after first post-op visit; running and plyometrics begin at 10+ weeks
