Sling x 6 wks; PROM only x 4 wks; AAROM at 4 wks; AROM at 6 wks; strengthening at 10 wks; avoid ER beyond 30° x 4-6 wks (subscapularis repair); avoid excessive extension beyond 0°; avoid excessive ER with ABD (dislocation risk); 20 lb lifting restriction with arm extended or overhead (per physician preference)

6 phases: Acute Care (day 1), Maximum Protection (0-4 wks, PROM, sling), Motion and Muscle Activation (4-8 wks, AAROM at 4 wks, AROM at 6 wks, wean sling 6-8 wks), Moderate Strengthening (8-12 wks, light resistance at 10 wks), Advanced Movement (3-6 months, golf/racquet sports 4-6 months). Moderate function 3-4 months; 90% contralateral ROM/strength at discharge
