WBAT in boot 0-4 wks; wean to ankle brace/shoe at 4-6 wks; brace during sports-specific activities 6-8 wks
Key Restrictions
Intended for patients with internal bracing (without internal brace, WB/ROM/RTS may be delayed); no passive PF stretching until 8 wks; avoid excessive stress to surgical site; avoid mobilizing talocrural and subtalar joints early; RTS only when cleared by physician

4 phases: Phase I (0-4 wks, boot, swelling/pain control), Phase II (4-8 wks, wean boot, early strengthening), Phase III (8-12 wks, advanced strengthening, normalize gait), Phase IV (12+ wks, return to activity and sport)
