Shoulder Stabilization — SLAP Repair (Isolated)

Key Restrictions
Sling x 6 weeks (including sleep); ER limited to 30° initially, progressing gradually; no contact sports until 6 months
Timeline & Phases
Phase I (1 wk): pain control, sling; Phase II (1-2 wks): AAROM flex to 90°, abd to 60°; Phase III (2-4 wks): AAROM flex to 120°, abd to 90°, ER to 30°; Phase IV (4-6 wks): AAROM flex to 150°, abd to 120°; Phase V (6-9 wks): D/C sling, full AROM, rotator cuff strengthening; Phase VI (9-12 wks): strength WNL; Phase VII (3-4 months): run 2 miles; Phase VIII (4-6 months): return to all activities

Isolated SLAP repair only; patients with additional surgery progress at different rates
