No IR past anterior axillary line (posterior repair precaution); avoid bench press/flies/military press/posterior capsular stretching x 6 months; no sports until 9 months post-op

Timeline & Phases

Wks 0-4 (sling/swathe, immobilization); Wks 5-6 (initiate AROM); Wks 6-8 (stretching/joint mob); Wks 9-12 (PRE); Wks 12-16 (advance PRE, no sports); Wks 17-24 (return to light activity)

Notes

Full ROM goal at 12 wks; no water skiing 1 year; unrestricted throwing and competitive swimming at 1 year; graded throwing program begins at 9 months
